Company overview: Red Sky Food Group is a manufacturer and supplier of award-winning meat products, based in the UK.
Our initial investment: Literacy originally created and invested into Red Sky Food Group in April 2025. This was established as the vehicle to acquire Langford’s initially, followed by other acquisitions in the protein focussed food manufacturing sector.
Langford’s has a reputation as a high-quality, reliable supplier of pork and beef products achieved through agile and efficient production, premium quality products, and excellent customer service, highly valued by its customers.
Mark Chantler joined Red Sky Food Group as Executive Chairman and co-invested alongside Literacy Capital. He brings a wealth of experience and a successful track record in food manufacturing as the former CEO of Meadow Foods, a dairy ingredients manufacturer. Mark led the business through two successful private equity ownerships before exiting in 2024.
Red Sky Food Group completed its second acquisition in November 2025, acquiring Delenco Foods, another sausage manufacturer. Delenco specialises in fresh sausages, complementing Langford’s focus on IQF sausages, with both businesses serving the same foodservice markets. Similar to Langford’s, Delenco enjoys an excellent reputation with customers for reliability and quality. The enlarged group of complementary businesses is well-placed to pursue identified growth opportunities and to provide additional products to its customers.
Building value: Since the original acquisition of Langford’s, Jon Faasse has joined as Group CFO and additional commercial resource has been hired to assist Josh Gethin as Managing Director. Continued support will be provided towards the professionalisation, development and organic growth of both Langford’s and Delenco, while Red Sky Food Group pursues further acquisition opportunities in the protein-focussed food manufacturing sector.
