Our initial investment: The business was founded by a husband-and-wife team, who created the model and established the brand over the initial six years of trading. In 2018 the founders were looking for an investment partner that would support the scaling of the Company including investments in business systems, and the introduction of an experienced executive team. Over the past five years, we have introduced an Executive Chair, a Chief Finance Officer, and most recently a Chief Revenue Officer from within our network.
Building value: Grayce’s focus is largely on Tier 1 blue chip clients, and as such the sales approach is a land and develop model, where growth is realised over time as the model is proven. This focus, and the strengthened senior team has helped the business treble in size, within the first three years of our investment. In addition, in July 2020, we helped Grayce to complete an acquisition of a local north-west competitor, Doris IT, which gave Grayce new technology capabilities to sell to customers. Geographically, the business was founded in Macclesfield, and, since the Literacy investment, Grayce now has its Headquarters in central Manchester, a southern office in central London, and they have most recently established a location in New York, in order to support larger clients with their Change and Transformation requirements in the United States.
